As much as I want to wear flats, I just can’t do it very often. I have this problem with the arch of my feet. For long walks, I really need to wear shoes with arch support or else I am in for some injury. I am glad to have tried Toms and I am loving it. I wear mine almost every single day I am out of the house. Yes, I do need to get a pair or two more. I am glad Toms now have ballet flats. I can wear something more fashionable and yet very comfy for my feet.

I can’t wait for them to be available in the stores here. I should stop by their store this weekend when DH shops for cell booster antenna.

This is a really charming headboard, isn’t it? And I want one!

This is just one of the reasons why I frequent Pinterest. There are just so many eye candies and ideas you can learn. For my future home, I think I want to have a similar bed, only I would probably have it painted white or pink even!
How about this activity bucket? I initially thought of getting a big bag organizer to hold my son’s art supplies, but they are just so many, I won’t be able to fit all of them in the organizer. Maybe this bucket will do!

I am once again inspired to organize. I am thinking of using DH’s cufflink boxes to hold pieces of jewelry instead. So many ideas, I need the energy to tackle our closet.

I keep coming across wall posts on Boxing Week sales from friends abroad. So off I went to Wikipedia and here’s what I got: Boxing Week is a period of six days or more that starts with Boxing Day and ends with New Year’s Eve. It may also include a few days before Christmas and/or after New Year’s Day. It is not strictly a week. It is a term that was invented by the retail industry a few years ago (at least in Canada) to enable them to extend (hopefully) the Boxing Day sales frenzy. For someone who loves sales, I am so glad that I can take advantage of the great deals even if I live at the other side of the world. All thanks to online shopping!

I have been shopping a little too much these days. Blame it on the sales. It’s official, January is my favorite month to shop. Just about every mall is having its end of season sale. And I couldn’t be happier. Good thing I didn’t shop a thing for myself last Christmas, I can shop now without any guilt. DH is having his share of the fun as well as he got to score great deals on material handling and other guy stuff. Anyway, I think I’ve done enough shopping already,I need to make some space for my loots. Time to organize the closet.

Time flies. Welcomed the New Year with my two blogs down due to virus/malware. I just didn’t have the heart to bother a friend’s vacation, who is generously hosting my sites for free, to inform her of the problem. And now that the holidays are over, I hope we can have the issue resolved.
On the other hand, we welcomed the New Year with a new blog for the itty-bitty photography gig that we are putting up. We are still in the polishing stage and we need to write more posts for it. Anyway we are not in full blast mode just yet, as DH still has his full-time work and we believe that we still need to develop what little skills we have. Plus there are still duties and responsibilities that need our attention. But nevertheless, rest assured that we give our whole heart to our work even if it is just a side job. Simply because we love what we do and it makes us happy.
The decluttering and organization has been put on hold though. Helper’s on vacation and I just couldn’t find the time to do everything that I want. I would have wanted to try and wear our wedding bands again {I had to stop wearing them when I grew big as they won’t fit my fingers.}, but I didn’t have the energy to go through my things to look for them. I have so many to-do’s. I need and will make time for them soon.

Against my will, I am on a diet. I have been indulging on all the yummy treats the past days and now my tummy seems to not like it anymore. Needless to say the best weight loss pill shared to me by a friend won’t be of use, for now. At least, I am hoping that I will be able to lose all the extra pounds I have gained the past weeks. I promise to eat more sensibly this coming New Year.

And checking it twice.
I am so glad we’re done shopping for gifts. And today DS gave them to his teachers and some of the people in school.
For the rest on our list, we will just be giving them cash. I am still undecided whether to give toys or cash to DS’ younger cousins. We’ll see if we will find time to brave the crowded malls next week. I am also considering la flor dominicana for the elders. But we’ll still see. I can take the shopping and paying at the cashier. It’s the waiting for the items to get wrapped that I really don’t like so much. Wrapping them myself is not an option. I don’t have the patience and the energy to do that right now.

Guess who’s so lazy to shop for gifts for baby? We attended a baptism last weekend. And up until the day of the event, I was hoping that I could shop a gift for the baby. Guess what, I never did. I was sick the previous week thus I wasn’t able to go out. It would have been fun to shop for a girl. But then again, I gave the next best thing – cash (paypal cash, at least). At least, the mom can get what they exactly need. I just think giving cash or gift certificate is more practical as you are sure that it will never go to waste. Plus it is also advisable for those families trying to minimize the clutter since they can use it to buy what the family needs and you help them by not adding another clutter to their home. It’s just what I think though. Feel free to disagree.

Finally I am done organizing my bookmarks in Firefox. I actually dread the task, but I was glad I did it. I was able to get rid of sites that are no longer up. I was likewise able to discover some great sites that I have bookmarked a long time ago but never really got the chance to look into. Would you believe I even bookmarked a site on free online dating at Zyngle.com. Anyway, my sites are now neatly organized into folders so I can easily find each when I need them. Sometimes I feel that organizing can be therapeutic.

Something DS never seems to get tired of. He got high grades for the second grading so I might bring him to Market! Market! one of these days to shop for stickers. We usually go the toy store selling party supplies and giveaways as they have a good selection of stickers.
