I may not like worms, or frogs or the likes, but I do dream of having a garden like this. Aside from ornamental and flowering plants, I want to grow my own vegetable and herb garden.

This is my most favorite home magazine ever, Mary Engelbreit Home Companion. I love the illustrations and paper dolls that come with the magazines, as well as the articles and beautiful photos of homes featured in the magazine. I loved this so much, I couldn’t let go of my small collection when I de-clutter my stuff last week. Too bad though, the mag is no longer published.

One Small Step to Greater Happiness.

Posted: April 22nd, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Notes to Self | No Comments »

Posted this on my other blog a few months back. I find this so powerful, I thought of posting it here.

If you want to be happier, let go of that feeling that you’re missing out. As one spiritual teacher said, you could sit on the side of the road for five years and your destiny would still find you. You aren’t missing out on anything.

Stop worrying about what your life would have been like if you had chosen a different college, career, spouse, neighborhood or weekend activity. You’re already sipping margaritas in Puerto Vallarta—forget the connections you could have made at this year’s conference.

Wherever you are, let go of that persistent, nagging doubt that you should be somewhere else—that you would have been better off if you had chosen the other option. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be right now. Focus on that moment and enjoy it.

We are indeed where we are supposed to be.

Don’t Stop Believing.

I am watching the live performance of the cast of Glee on Oprah, singing their signature song Don’t Stop Believing. Love love love them. I’m off to watch their interview with Ms. O in a while.

I have been staring at this photo for weeks now. I love everything about the curtains, the colors, the prints, the combination of the 3 different curtains. It’s fun and vibrant and sure to add a nice splash of colors to any room. That’s why I am always on the lookout for colorful curtains whenever I go to the mall. Hopefully I can replace soon our old plain, not-so-fun curtains in the house.

I hope to have the energy to finally start my very own herb garden. I have always wanted to use fresh herbs on my cooking and admired those who actually maintain a herb garden at home. Tomorrow, we are off to shop for new indoor plants. I hope I can find some herbs, as well.

I am a certified gleek. I am loving this show and have been watching it over and over again. Can you tell that I am a frustrated singer? Hee-hee.
